Maralee Sanders is an Associate in both HDRB&B’s Employment Department and its Trusts and Estates Department.

As an employment law advocate to both employers and individuals, Maralee delivers skilled employment advice and counsel on a wide range of matters. Maralee drafts and negotiates employment and separation agreements on behalf of employers and executives, addressing issues such as compensation, restrictive covenants, and other terms of employment. She provides advice to employers on federal and state harassment and discrimination laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), wage and hour laws, proper classification of employees and independent contractors, hiring and firing, and performance management. Maralee drafts comprehensive policy and practices handbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state law. Additionally, Maralee conducts internal investigations in highly sensitive matters involving workplace misconduct including, but not limited to, discrimination, harassment, and bullying.

Maralee also works with HDRB&B’s trusts and estates group and provides clients with exceptional counsel and support on a variety of matters including Medicaid planning, guardianships, general estate planning, estate administration, and planning for disabled children and adults. She is highly adept at locating escheated estate assets.

Her broad skill set across multiple practice areas enables Maralee to solve complex issues and provide the best possible outcome for her clients. Prior to joining HDRB&B in 2018, Maralee was an Associate at a large insurance defense firm and represented employers in workers’ compensation matters throughout New Jersey.
