The Women’s Initiative Committee is a highly accomplished group comprised of women attorneys, leadership and support staff.
HDRB&B strives to create and sustain a work environment where people from diverse backgrounds can flourish and achieve their goals and where women can become leaders in the legal community both inside and outside the firm. 40% of HDRB&B’s Partners are women and representation in the firm’s senior leadership roles continues to increase.
While the mission of the Women’s Initiative Committee is established, the details of the program are ever-evolving to ensure we continue to meet the needs of its members.
Women’s Initiative Mission Statement
- Create connectivity and community within HDRB&B.
- Nurture and strengthen a positive and supportive environment for HDRB&B’s women attorneys.
- Expand professional opportunities within the group through referrals, mentorship and idea sharing.
- Expand professional opportunities externally for the group through attending networking and professional development events together.
Among the programs overseen by the Women’s Initiative Committee are the following:
Networking
HDRB&B hosts monthly lunches for all its women attorneys to foster community, promote collaboration and provide members guidance on topics such as leadership skills, networking, business development, work/life balance and other topics tailored to their interests.
Part-Time and Leave Policies
Recognizing the challenges of balancing professional and personal responsibilities, the firm’s part-time and child care leave policies are both generous and flexible. These policies benefit all our attorneys, women and men alike.
Involvement in Organizations
The firm supports our attorneys and their active membership in organizations such as The New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, women’s sections of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations, Association of Jewish Attorneys, Women Lawyers of Bergen County, and the Seasoned Women Attorneys Group of Bergen County.
