Aliza F. Burns is a partner in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department. Aliza counsels clients on estate planning and related tax matters, estate and trust administration, charitable giving and the operation of charitable organizations and closely held businesses. Aliza has extensive experience drafting wills and revocable trusts, insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, GRATs, QPRTs and charitable trusts.

Before joining HDRB&B, Aliza was an associate in the Personal Representation Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City. Aliza received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Barnard College, where she was awarded Phi Beta Kappa.
