New York Activates HERO Act Requirements

On September 6, 2021, New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the State’s Commissioner of Health has designated Covid-19 as a “highly contagious communicable disease that presents a serious risk to the public health.” This designation triggers the requirements under the NYS HERO Act, enacted over the summer.
