Bapineedu (“Bapi”) Bikkani is an Associate in HDRB&B’s Litigation Department. He represents individual and corporate clients in complex commercial, business, and trusts and estates litigation. His experience includes matters involving breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duties, and other business torts.
Bapi is known for his collaborative approach to litigation, working closely with clients to understand their business goals and to develop strategic, cost-conscious solutions that aim for the best possible outcome with minimal expense. Bapi brings a nuanced understanding of cross-cultural dynamics to his practice—an asset to clients navigating disputes with international or multicultural dimensions.
Before joining HDRB&B, Bapi practiced at boutique New Jersey law firms representing commercial insurance carriers in policyholder disputes, and various businesses in complex commercial and business litigation. Bapi also served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Robert L. Polifroni, P.J.Cv. (ret.), and the Hon. Christine A. Farrington, J.S.C. (ret.) of the New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division. His prior legal experience also includes clerkships with the U.S. Department of Justice and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, with a focus on environmental matters.
Beyond his legal practice, Bapi is committed to service and wildlife conservation and has volunteered alongside professional anti-poaching units in South Africa and participated in wildlife conservation efforts in Zimbabwe. Prior to entering the legal field, Bapi worked for the Center on Irregular Warfare and Armed Groups at the United States Naval War College, specializing in research and analysis on armed groups.
