Young Mee Jun is an Associate in HDRB&B’s Trusts & Estates group. She specializes in estate planning and advises clients on issues relating to long-term care, Medicaid planning, special needs arrangements, and guardianship proceedings. In addition to drafting trusts, wills, and essential legal documents, Young Mee is experienced in preparing and filing Article 81 and 17A Guardianship applications, often representing clients as the petitioner’s attorney during those pivotal hearings. She also represents clients in health plan appeals and various Medicare-related disputes.

Before joining HDRB&B, Young Mee was an Associate at Grimaldi Yeung Law Group, LLP in Brooklyn. Prior to law school, she earned a BA in Science-Social Work at New York University, and then a Master of Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College – CUNY. Later, she received a JD from New York Law School. Young Mee’s diverse academic background sets her apart. Her extensive experience in social work deeply informs her practice. She gained an intimate understanding of the challenges and needs of seniors while serving as the Program Director and Social Services Director at various extended care, nursing and rehabilitation facilities prior to attending law school.

An active member of the legal community, Young Mee frequently presents on estate planning and Medicaid law, contributing her insights to organizations such as Caring Kind and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. She is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, NYC Bar Association, and the Asian American Bar Association of New York. Young Mee is fluent in Korean.
