Michele-Lee Shapiro is a highly skilled litigator with extensive experience representing individuals and organizations in a broad array of complex civil matters. Her practice focuses on Commercial Litigation and Trusts and Estates Litigation, resolving diverse matters spanning corporate divorce, contract disputes, antitrust issues, e-commerce conflicts, and fraud and consumer fraud claims. She also brings a depth of appellate experience, offering clients the advantage of her strategic insight at every stage of a case.

Before joining HDRB&B, Michele-Lee practiced at Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, P.C., and previously at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. Earlier in her career, she served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and clerked for the late Hon. Herman D. Michels, then Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Drawing on her participation in her family’s successful performing arts business, Michele-Lee has a unique perspective on the challenges facing small businesses and the need for cost-conscious, effective counsel. Michele-Lee places great importance on mentoring the next generation of lawyers. In addition to previously teaching Legal Research and Writing as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall Law School, she continues to provide guidance to prospective and enrolled law students as they prepare for their academic and professional journeys.
