Joseph R. Mariniello

Department Chair, Government and Land Use

Joe Mariniello is the Chair of HDRB&B’s Government and Land Use Department. An accomplished and talented attorney, Joe represents both private and public clients across the state of New Jersey. For more than 25 years, Joe has provided skillful legal representation of Government Agencies and many municipalities throughout Northern New Jersey as town attorney, board of adjustment attorney, special litigation counsel, special tax counsel, planning board attorney and various other positions. Joe served for eight years as a Commissioner on the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation, a non-profit agency devoted  to investigating many facets of life in New Jersey including the state of Organized Crime and waste fraud and abuse in both state and local government.

For his private clients, Joe handles a wide range of transactional matters including the purchase and sale of small and mid-size companies as well as commercial real estate. He has significant lending practice and  provides representation to the commercial lending departments of several lending institutions. Additionally, Joe has a deep background in commercial property acquisition and leasing in many real estate sectors, particularly in the gas service station industry. Joe is highly regarded for his diverse and multifaceted legal acumen coupled with his deep integrity and tireless dedication to his client’s success.

Prior to joining HDRB&B, Joe owned and managed his own multi-practice law firm for 25 years. Joe earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and received a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Villanova University.
