Joe Mariniello is the Chair of HDRB&B’s Government and Land Use Department. With over 25 years of legal experience, Joe is a talented attorney who has represented both private and public clients throughout the state of New Jersey. Joe is widely known for his diverse and multifaceted legal acumen coupled with his deep integrity and tireless dedication to his clients’ success.
Joe has a deep understanding of government and land use law, and he has provided skillful legal representation to government agencies and municipalities throughout Northern New Jersey. Joe is currently Zoning Board attorney for the the Town of South Hackensack and Planning Board attorney for the Borough of Woodcliff Lake. His diverse experience includes serving as town attorney, board of adjustment attorney, special litigation counsel, special tax counsel, planning board attorney, and various other positions. Joe’s public service extends to his tenure as a Commissioner on the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation, where he investigated organized crime and waste fraud and abuse in both state and local government.
For his private clients, Joe handles a wide range of transactional and litigation matters. He has handled the purchase and sale of small and mid-size companies, as well as commercial real estate matters. Joe also has significant lending experience and has represented the commercial lending departments of several lending institutions. He also has a deep background in commercial property acquisition and leasing in many real estate sectors, particularly in the gas service station industry.
Prior to joining HDRB&B, Joe owned and managed his own multi-practice law firm for 25 years. He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and received a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Villanova University.
