Katelyn M. Brack is an Associate in HDRB&B’s Matrimonial & Family Law Department.  She has successfully represented clients on a wide range of family law matters including matrimonial and non-dissolution matters, divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, domestic violence, and the drafting and negotiation of marital agreements, among many other issues.

Katelyn is a zealous advocate driven by compassion for her clients. She works closely with clients to develop strategies that benefit each client’s unique circumstances. Katelyn has experience representing high net worth individuals in complex, high conflict matrimonial and family law matters in New York and New Jersey courts.  She represents clients in all aspects of litigation, while also striving to resolve matters in mediation and through settlement negotiations out of court, whenever possible.  Katelyn has been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey as a Guardian ad litem to represent the best interests of minor children in a contested custody matter.

Katelyn has been selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in the area of Family Law, for the years 2021 and 2022 and to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch™, Family Law for 2023.

Prior to HDRB&B, Katelyn was an associate at prominent law firms in New York City and in New Jersey, where she practiced exclusively in the area of matrimonial and family law. Before entering private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable John A. Jorgensen, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part.  She has also provided pro bono representation to victims of domestic violence.

Katelyn is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and in New York.  She is a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association and serves as a chair of the Newsletter Committee (2020 – present).  She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Women Lawyers in Bergen County, and participates in the Barry Croland Family Law Inn of Court.
